Freelance Videography
Recently, I have been doing more work as a freelance videographer and editor. Working with a Panasonic AG AC90P camcorder capable of delivering full 1080p HD video and a Panasonic FZ2500 hybrid DSLR capable of recording 4K, I am currently involved with several projects, including one on Diversity at Forest Lawn High School here in Calgary. As well, I have experience shooting theatrical productions, local amateur sporting events, and even casting sessions for Television productions. Combining the HD capabilities of the AC90P and the editing power of the Adobe Creative Suite, I can deliver high quality video to a range of clientele.

Calgary Stampeders v. BC Lions - July 28, 2012
What a great way to work my very first CFL Football game; doing sideline camera for the Home Team! My primary responsibility was to capture the action to be used for replays on the big screen in the end zone. As much fun as this was it was tempered by the fact the Stamps fell to the Lions that night. |
2012 Calgary Stampede Parade - Calgary, AB
In July I had the privilege of working as a TVA for the parade of the 100th Calgary Stampede Parade! This also marked my first time working for the CBC. Hopefully it will not be my last as they were a good group to work with! |
Final Practicum Assignment before Graduating from Broadcasting - Medicine Hat, AB
For my final course in the Broadcasting program at Mount Royal University, I was required to do a work practicum in my area of interest. In May, I went out to Medicine Hat, Alberta to CHAT TV to get my first real taste of ENG and EFP production. While I was there, I spent some time in Master Control, Graphics and ENG/EFP production. Check out the Production page for an example of the work I did while in The Hat. |
_FIBT 2012 World Cup Bobsleigh @Calgary, AB
I was a TVA/Utility for the FIBT 2012 World Cup Bobsleigh and Skeleton finals in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Working with JFM Sports INC., I helped with set-up of fibre-optic cables running up ad down the bobsled track. Once the events were underway, I assisted the Finish Dock camera operator to manage his SMPTE cable while he shot the sleds coming in to the finish. |

_2012 World Junior Hockey Championship
In December 2011 and January 2012, I was a part of a volunteer team from Mount Royal University that helped Hockey Canada shoot footage during the World Junior Hockey Championships in Calgary. Most of our shooting involved capturing WJHC volunteers as they worked various venues at the Scotiabank Saddledome during tournament games and also some highlight footage from exhibition games that were played at the end of December, prior to the actual tournament start. |
